Mother Nature 2 Pro Mods 0

For the second time in as many races Mother Nature showed everyone who’s boss.

The first "Extreme" race at Cecil County on Saturday was canceled due to weather. Many race teams made the journey in hopes of a break in the forecast only to have them dashed with heavy thunderstorms and a Tornado watch.

It was the Northeast Pro Mods first "Extreme Event " a format where fans are treated to a very unique drag racing experience. Four distinct performance combinations will square off in two separate 8-car fields. Nitrous assisted doorslammers will battle normally aspirated mountain motor entries, while blower cars will race turbos.
A purse of $5,000 goes to the winner of each 8-car field. After a winner is declared from each side, a "King of the hill" run off is staged, where an additional $3,500 goes to the winner and $1,500 is awarded to the runner up. Check our schedule for up coming Extreme Events.
The club is looking forward to our next scheduled race at Pittsburgh Raceway Park on June 14th
