Maryland Int’l Raceway is proud to announce the exciting return of the highly anticipated PINKS All Out on Friday and Saturday, June 19-20, 2009! Tickets for all spectators and crew will officially go on sale starting at 7:00 pm EST on Thursday, January 15, 2009.

The MIR office will not be open on Thursday evening, January 15th. As a result, we will not be able to sell any racer and/or spectator tickets in our office until Friday morning, January 16th.

If you plan to purchase a RACER ENTRY, your best shot is to purchase it online at the moment they go on sale at 7:00 pm EST on Thursday evening, January 15th.

It is expected that ALL ENTRIES WILL SELL OUT that Thursday evening! We do not recommend waiting until the office opens on Friday morning as it's very possible that all available entries will be sold out by that time.

For those of you purchasing spectator tickets only, there will be plenty available online for advance purchases; and they can also be purchased at the MIR office beginning January 16th (weekday business hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm). Spectator tickets will also be available at the gate during the event. We do however encourage spectators to purchase their tickets in advance as this will save you a great amount of time from having to wait in the box office lines to purchase the same ticket you can print from your home PC.

Since their first appearance in 1997, MIR’s Frantic 7’s (also known as the “Bad Boyz of Budds Creek”) have exhilarated fans from far and wide! For the 2009 racing season, the class has been stepped up to include one more car in this feature class. The Pro Mod Frantic 8 program will be featured at six high-profile events this year, including PINKS All Out.

Rick Norris of Rick’s Jewelers has again renewed the “Ring for the Queen” Challenge (one of MIR’s most unique and innovative programs) for another year! A certified full one-carat ladies diamond solitaire ring (with a retail value of $8,500) is once again up for grabs in the Speed Unlimited ET Series – which is open for any racer to win in Top, Mod, Junior or Motorcycle!

For the 2009 racing season, we’re happy to announce that there will be no increase in spectator admission fees and/or racer entry fees. This includes all prices for the Speed Unlimited Midnight Madness Series, the MIR Test & Tunes, the Speed Unlimited ET Series events, all of MIR’s specialty events and all national touring association events! 

The most successful and prestigious E.T. series in the region, the Computech Raider E.T. Challenge, returns in 2009 with a stop at Richmond Dragway! Plenty of cash, prizes and awards await the points victor in Top ET, Mod ET and Junior Dragster in this 8-race, all 1/8 mile series between Maryland Int’l Raceway, Virginia Motorsports Park and Richmond Dragway.   MIR, VMP and RD are proud to offer this exciting 1/8 mile series, and an additional $5,000 has been committed once again to the points fund to pay back under the champions! The 8-races include a points program that rewards each of the overall champions in Top ET, Mod ET, and Junior Dragster with a major sponsorship for their bracket car in 2010. These sponsorships include tires, fuel, oil, converters, gear sets, weather stations - the list just goes on and on!

In 2009, each Nitro Jam national event (and select other events) will become individual tournaments, with the winner of each tournament getting a spot in a select field of racers that will race each other for the world championship at the end of the season. This race, during the World Finals at Rockingham, will crown a national championship as well as the national top 10 in each class. This format provides incredible value for the racers who financially can only afford to attend the national event closest to them. It also provides opportunity for those that can run more than one event, as each national event becomes a new opportunity to qualify for the world championship race.

Maryland International Raceway officials announced a three-year agreement naming VP Racing Fuels as Official Fuel of MIR, beginning in 2009. As part of the agreement, VP will be MIR’s exclusive supplier of race fuels including VP110, C12, C16, MS103 and M1 Methanol in bulk. The track also expects to add pail and drum inventory of VP’s most popular specialty fuels such as Q16, U4.2, C14 and M5 Methanol.  “We’re excited to bring VP on board as our Official Fuel given its well-deserved reputation for quality products and unsurpassed service,” said Royce Miller, President of MIR. “Our racers deserve the best products at the best value and VP Racing Fuels delivers on both.”
